15 Februar 2016 New direction for the Kawasaki J125 and TomTom Rider in Malaga

Kawasaki recently introduced the J125, a second scooter in their urban commuter range in the busy city of Malaga, Spain.
Judged the ideal location to introduce the 125cc maxi-style machine which partners the company’s existing J300 product, Malaga mixes a matrix of suburban streets, a traffic heavy cityscape  and easy to reach winding country vistas; the perfect environment to test a new scooter.
With journalists from all over Europe attending, a key priority was making sure that nobody went astray in the urban jungle.  Accordingly, each J125 was fitted with an all-new TomTom Rider.

Not simply a GPS navigation system, the device also offers the possibility to rotate the screen between horizontal and vertical position and choose differing routes from direct to scenic and even prioritising twisting turns. It also has the added option to create routes using GPX files, to share routes and offer Bluetooth connectivity plus hands-free calling.

PR Manager for Kawasaki Motors Europe, Martin Lambert, commented:

“At these launches we try to ensure the best possible experience for our media guests and that includes delivering the freedom for journalists to enjoy the product unhindered and at their own pace.

With TomTom rider units fitted to all machines, everyone knew where they were going and could spend more time concentrating on the benefits of our new 125cc scooter offering for the 2016 season”.

Editor’s note:
A Tom Tom rider genuine accessory mount is available for many machines in the Kawasaki range.
