1 Oktober 2021 2022 STX, Ultra and SX-R Jet Ski models announced

Five models from the upcoming 2022 Kawasaki Jet Ski personal watercraft range have just been announced with more models expected soon to complete the entire line-up for a new season. The STX family comprising STX160, STX160 X and STX160 LX sit down craft feature new colour and graphics for 2022 while retaining their established specifications.

For the so-called “entry level” STX160 that means a move to Crystal White and Pearl Neon Yellow while retaining the current hull shape and liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve, 4-cylinder, 1,498 cm2 engine. This highly regarded power planet is equipped with electronic throttle valves which allow for electronic cruise control as well as a one touch 5mph constant speed setting: useful when manoeuvring in marinas or coming alongside slow cruising larger craft.

Kawasaki Smart Steering features on all STX models as well a SLO Mode (Smart Learning Operation) plus a useful Economical Riding Indicator visible on the easy-to-read LCD meter again common to all three craft in the STX range.

Moving to the mid-level STX160 X, the look for 2022 changes with the adoption of some new graphics in the Ebony/Lime Green colourway. Standard fit for this model includes comfort hand grips, an up/down button adding greater adjustability of the electronic cruise control. The rider and passenger seat covers are also in contrasting colours which, added to the lime green, gold and black graphic and accent treatments create an altogether more “racy” appearance – which leaves the LX at the top of the STX160 line.

Fitted as standard with a Kawasaki Ergo-Fit seat offering next levels of ergonomic support, the STX160 LX also comes as standard with Kawasaki’s JETSOUND Integrated Audio System Feature complete with Bluetooth connectivity.  Consisting of an amplifier, audio controller (built into the rider handle), and speakers placed under the mirrors, the amplifier is more than enough to produce an impressive output with connections to the riders’ file source device (such as Smartphone or iPod) via Bluetooth or USB, and AUX (using onboard waterproof ports). Available in 2022 in Ebony/Candy Lime Green the STX160 LX literally is the flagship of the STX160 range.

The final two updates for first release of 2022 range models are the Ultra LX two person sit down Jet Ski equipped with a 112 kW {152 PS} four stroke, four cylinder power plant that will appear in showrooms resplendent in an Ebony/Sunbeam Red colourway and the mighty SX-R, Kawasaki’s largest capacity stand-up solo Jet Ski ever, also rated at 112 kW {152 PS} and available in Ebony/Lime Green.

With further models expected to be announced soon to complete the upcoming 2022 range, Kawasaki Jet Ski dealers are justifiably expecting a wave of interest in what many regard as the definitive personal watercraft.
