8 Juli 2025 2026 KX250 and KX450 models announced

The much anticipated unveiling of the 2026 adult KX models for Europe has manifested itself on four machines covering both motocross and other off-road sport in the shape of KX and KX-X machinery in the 250cc and 450cc categories.
Entering the MX2 class with the official Kawasaki team this year, popular French rider. Mathis Valin has impressed in 2025 on the KRT KX250-SR machine based around the standard model available in Kawasaki dealerships. That race development, innovative engineering and cutting-edge technology flows into 2026 providing an ideal platform for professional and amateur racer alike incorporating such features as power modes and Kawasaki Traction Control. There is also a symmetrically aligned intake and exhaust to deliver strong over-run and smooth low-rpm torque characteristics.

Partnering the KX250 once more in the new season will be the KX250-X ready for use in hare and hound type events equipped with suspension spring rates and damping settings optimised for cross country work. This is complemented by a 21”/18” wheel combination fitted with enduro-type tyres and convenient standard features like a side stand.

At the pinnacle of the KX offering in 2026 is the mighty KX450, a machine that in its SR form has propelled Kawasaki Racing Team rider, Romain Febvre, to red plate status across a slew  of races during the 2025 MXGP season. With a chassis optimised in terms of rigidity balance this has contributed to increased front-end feel evidenced in outstanding MXGP performances across the season. In turn, this translates to improved cornering feel in a wide range of conditions.  Add Brembo brake components, Showa suspension, plus ODI Lock-on grips and the attention to detail is there for all to see.  Additionally, the integration of smartphone connectivity allows riders to connect with their machine to adjust engine mapping directly from a handheld device.

As with the KX250, the largest KX is partnered by a cross country cousin in 2026 in terms of the KX450-X. Mirroring the subtle yet useful changes and additions to the smaller X model, the KX450-X also enjoys  Showa suspension plus a quick release air-filter side cover, cross-country  F21”/R18” wheels and tyres  plus a side stand as standard equipment.

Join the green team in 2026 and enjoy the precision of machine control and performance that comes as a direct result of Kawasaki racing on the world stage.
